How does it feel to be the new anchor of a popular programme?
Great. I know it's going to be very challenging and I am really excited.

But are you daunted by the task of carrying Riz Khan's legacy?
I think I'll hold my own—with my journalistic sense and personality.

What do you see as your strong points?
I think I can handle intricate interviews over sensitive issues.

Why was Q&A a success?
The issues are always topical and touch the pulse of India.

Is Q&A's format also changing?
It will essentially remain the same.

How has India influenced you?
India with its culture, values and traditions has influenced my daily life.

You were very active in the sports field earlier.
I still love sports.

Why television then?
TV is more fulfilling for me. I am committed to keeping people informed.

And your community work?
I volunteer at an old age home—read or write letters or just talk to elders....
