You call yourself Outlook, a word which immediately raises expectations. But are you fulfilling these? I don’t think so. ‘Outlook’ means perspective. Are we finding all the possible different perspectives in the pages of your magazine? I don’t think so. Are you guarding against taking narrow, standard views on issues that confront us today? I don’t think you are. I don’t subscribe to the magazine, but every so often I pick up a copy from the stands because I do enjoy browsing through it. It has many interesting articles on diverse issues but I feel largely ignored by you and other newsmagazines of our country because you don’t adequately focus on the struggles of the transgender community. You never make us feel like we are part of the mainstream. Even when you cover us, it is because it is a “sensational” topic for you at the time. You treat us like the minorities in our own country. Also, your magazine does not cover education adequately. You are telling me you have special issues dedicated to colleges and...
