I have to admit that it has been my dream (and still is) to start a magazine of my own. The idea has been brewing in my mind for quite a while, and whenever my friends and I have spoken about planning and initiating our magazine, one of our reference magazines had always been Outlook. Back then, when I had yet to attend college and hadn’t discovered my want to become a cartoonist, the work of someone like Sandeep Adhwaryu at Outlook really inspired me. His colouring ka tareeka and themes really caught my fancy at the time and gave me a sort of headstart into the world of “charged art”. There have been plentiful covers of Outlook that I liked, and am sure have stashed somewhere in my home collection. But what I specially liked, and I don’t think the magazine does it anymore, is the issue that came out on Holi; I always looked forward to that particular one. With the digital platform really taking over our lives, I am beginning to miss the magazine ka feel where you would almost be forced to read everything rather than sift through...
