Who's slipped out of your grip?
L.K. Advani and Sonia Gandhi. Advani wanted me to see him at 7 am in Porbandar. To his surprise, I agreed. So obviously he called it off.

Do filmstars have a dumbing effect on elections?
People forget elections are about participation. If filmstars attract the masses to the process, it's useful.

Is the current wave of amity between India and Pakistan as good as it looks?
Too early to tell. If it lasts beyond six months it could defy the gloomy predictions in India.

What's the take out?
It's interesting to watch the Indian press fall in love with Pakistan. That has to be a good sign.

Is India really shining from the outside?
For the 300 million-strong middle class it is. Not for the 200 million people below the poverty line.

Politicians are the same everywhere. They want to take...
