On being assured of protection by the police, cable operators in Kashmir slowly began beaming the channels again after a partial blackout. This was after militant group Al-Madina threatened them for telecasting "immoral" programmes and corrupting young minds . A visit by three ultras to the office of a cable operator here prompted his peers to shut shop for two hours on May 8. When services resumed, many channels had been blacked out, especially those the militants had objected to. Only the news channels were back on May 9. Will it be a sad re-run of the ’90s Valley?
