Mumbai is baring its claws. Literally. The latest its denizens are indulging in is nail care. And it comes courtesy new beauty salon Nail Bar, catering exclusively to your hands, feet and nails. A franchisee of NailBar Pvt Ltd, it’s the initiative of Radha Bajaj of the city’s Out of the Blue restaurant fame. Bajaj was itching to do something different: "I felt there would be a market for just nailcare because no such full-fledged facility exists in the country." So she sent employee Kavita Bhatija to the US to train as a nail technician. Under Bhatija’s supervision, Nail Bar now offers a variety of treatments.

An essential manicure here sets you back by Rs 150, an anti-oxidant paraffin manicure comes for Rs 325 and a therapy like Nail Bar special miracle fix costs Rs 275. Nail Bar even has a nailbiters programme for Rs 1,200, special nail extension packages, even nail art and tattoos. Located in Juhu, just above Olive, a favourite haunt of filmstars, it already boasts a star clientele. So should you want to step into the shoes of Gauri Khan, Preity Zinta and Ayesha...
