Anil Ambani seems quite adept at target shooting. Every week, he selects a new one and aims his corporate gun at it. An avid reader of Sun Tzu's Art of War, he clearly believes in this piece of war wisdom: "Opportunities multiply as they are seized." So, the younger Ambani has left no stone unturned in taking his chances to destroy the credibility of his elder brother Mukesh. And Anil's been at this game for over two months, ever since the bitter rivalry between the Ambani siblings to control the Rs 1,00,000-crore Reliance group became public in November 2004.

In the beginning, Anil embarked on his "Malign Mukesh" campaign by suggesting how the group's flagship and cash cow, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), was milched to finance Reliance Infocomm, the group's telecom venture that's dear to Mukesh. When that didn't work, he raised pertinent issues about corporate governance and ethics.
