You succeed the likes of Shabana Azmi and Sai Paranjpe. How does it feel?
To be very honest, being the youngest ever chairperson is a challenge. At this stage of my life,this is just the challenge I was looking for.

Some kind of a pressure on you?
I think I will have to try harder to prove myself.

Your lack of experience in this field is an added burden?
I'm experienced in the field of children's films, but not as a human being. It's never too late to learn.

But nobody makes films for children?
I had a discussion on this matter with my colleagues in the Children's Film Society.

What, do you think, is the problem?
Our culture is being instilled into them in a very subverted manner. Why, lot of our kids haven't even seen Attenborough's Gandhi.

How do you plan to rectify the problem?
We need to show our kids films about those who got us freedom. Children need to be entertained and informed. Having my two foster daughters at home helps me understand kids' minds.
