As patients crowd around Apollo Hospitals’ Total Health mobile clinics in Aragonda, in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, or as doctors conduct a medical procedure in Apollo’s rural hospital there, or even as children in the village gather at the health corner in their school, it is the unique partnership with Reckitt Benckiser that is helping bring enhanced attention to hygiene and sanitation. .
Apollo’s Total Health programme, that focuses on the health and well-being of the community, as well as nutrition, literacy, hygiene and livelihood, was launched in Aragonda, the ancestral village of Apollo Hospitals’ Founder-Chairman Dr Prathap C Reddy, in 2013.
Reckitt Benckiser, leading health and hygiene company, joined in partnership with Apollo’s Total Health programme in April 2019 and launched ‘Arogya Rakshak’ to further improve the health, sanitation and nutritional outcomes in Thavanampalle Mandal, of which Aragonda is part.
