New Zealand is an island nation that has eight universities. While some Indian students already consider going there for further studies, it is not considered a top choice. However, New Zealand has a small population, some say there are more sheep on New Zealand than people, and is welcoming of foreigners, both as students and as immigrants.
The main advantage of studying in New Zealand is that, on completion of your degree, you receive a work permit of up to three years, though the length will depend on the type of course you have studied and from where. After the time on the work permit is up, you can request an extension, which is normally granted. You can also receive permanent residency in five-six years.
New Zealand also has a good number of jobs that are open, but do not have the people to fill them. This is especially true in the STEM fields and in management.
