So, we get to see you in a bikini in Kidnap?

Well, I play Sonia, extremely modern, hip, bindaas, tough and can take care of herself. My look suits the character.

Your roles before Kidnap were softer and more subtle. Is this an image makeover?

For me, it’s about becoming the character I’m playing. I had to look glamorous for this role. I won’t be glam just for the sake of it nor would I downplay a character only to be on the serious side.

Did you take biking lessons for the role?

Not really. I already knew how to ride a bike. I just needed to get the gears right.

How was it working with Imran Khan?

Imran is a lovely guy. He is extremely supportive and a very warm person, completely different from the role he’s playing. I had a blast working with him.

There was a time in Bollywood when newcomers had a tough time making a mark. Are things changing?

Absolutely! In fact, it’s not only actors but also technicians who are coming from all over the country to make a bonafide...
