Some of them are political midgets, others are not known to be serious investors. But they are definitely rich and among the biggest market players with exposures of at least Rs 1 crore each. In terms of sheer investments, they could possibly match any old-time individual broker at the Bombay Stock Exchange. Meet D.K. Adikesavulu, a tdp member from Chittoor constituency in Andhra Pradesh, whose family has pumped in Rs 23 crore in shares. Or Moni Kumar Subba, Congress MP from Tezpur (Assam), whose family has invested Rs 8 crore in the Subba group. We cannot tell you more about their investment patterns as the Election Commission has not insisted on specific details.

Salim Sherwani, Samajwadi Party
Owns Rs 6.89 crore worth of shares, bulk of it is in his name. No other details disclosed.

R. Prabhu, Congress
Has invested Rs 1.83 crore in Jeypore Sugars, and owns 5,500 shares of KCP, 300 ING Vysya, 160 Nava Bharat Ferro Alloys and...
