What’ll be the highlight of your collection?
Minimal designs on silhouettes like empire waistlines, jodhpurs, churipants and angrakhas. I have used pinstripes for womenswear to emphasise that gender is passé.

How did you manage this prestigious invite?
I was contacted by Altaroma, the organisation that takes care of the RFW. They had a history of my previous collections and recommendations from buyers.

You were missing at the Wills IFW...
The response to my last year’s ‘Flapper Girl’ collection packed me with orders from eight countries for the next 1.5 years. I won’t be able to do justice to more orders.

What other fashion events of the year will you participate in?
The plan is to do one good show a year. This year it will be only RFW.

Your take on the two fashion weeks?
Competition is good but one fashion week represented the indivisibility of our fraternity.

International fashion brands are entering India. Will Indian designers survive them?
