Kareena Kapoor

The latest Bollywood sensation on the Mumbai industry and her film Yaadein

Kareena Kapoor
Can we say that Yaadein is a Kareena Kapoor film?
I would instead say that it's more a Jackie Shroff film. It's probably the best performance of his career till now.

What kind of roles do you look for in Hindi films?
I like to shock my audiences with every role that I play.

And what kind of roles does Bollywood have to offer?
A heroine is lucky if she gets five good scenes in a film. It's still a male-dominated industry.

Are you part of the number game Bollywood is so infamous for?
Not at all. I am here to make a place for myself, and not to be number 1.

Don't you think you started with the clear advantage of hailing from such a reputed family in the film industry?
You could be anybody's son or daughter but that isn't of much help in the industry. You also need talent to get recognition.

What was the best compliment you've received so far?
When Sooraj Barjatya called me a miracle and God's gift to the industry.

Do you think he was right?
