Viewers in India have been deprived of the live telecast of the current series. Why?
Ask Doordarshan. They are simply not interested. They could have bought the rights from ESPN.

What about the one-day series?
Doordarshan has reached an agreement with ESPN for the one-day games. What can we do if they haven't for the Test series? DD has the money.

Because of a purely financial squabble, you've denied millions of cricket lovers the opportunity to see the live telecast of the match.
It's a matter of principle. If they can pay producers royalty for movies, why not for cricket? DD earns crores. They owe the public an explanation, not the board.

Is it true that preparations at the Mohali stadium have run into difficulties?
There's a restriction of 33 metres on the height of the towers. So the number is being increased. There will be 14 to 16 towers in place in time for the match.

Is the World Cup the biggest sporting event in India since the 1982 Asiad?
It's much bigger because of the growth...
