It couldn't get murkier, or more malodorous, than this. Members of the Andhra Pradesh women's cricket team have accused the secretary of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) and manager of the India women's T20 team V. Chamundeswaranath of sexual harassment and favouritism. Several members of the Andhra cricket team met state home minister Sabita Indra Reddy in Hyderabad on June 23 and lodged a complaint against Chamundeswaranath for allegedly sending lewd SMSes and seeking sexual favours from them. The home minister has promised a DCP-level probe into the allegations.

Durga Bhavani, a member of the team, alleged that the secretary has been sending the SMSes at odd hours of the night. Bhavani told Outlook: "After my selection in the team, the secretary had called me up to say that I was included only because of him. In response to my thanks by texting, he replied that mere thanks was not enough and he needed hugs."
