The Congress seems to be celebrating a festival of scams (Seventh-Year Hitch, Dec 13). Neither the delay in taking action against his telecom minister nor the appointment of P.J. Thomas as chief vigilance commissioner speaks well of the prime minister, though his personal integrity is in no doubt. Something drastic has to be done to stop corruption in all aspects of existence in India, including the media, corporates and judiciary.

The only way out of corruption is if governments resign over corruption. If you can’t stop corruption, you simply shouldn’t be governing. Exiting is better than presiding over a corrupt government.
